Bio
Stephanie has been with the Presa Community Center for six years, serving as President/CEO for the past year.
She has extensive background in serving underserved youth and families. Ms. Smith has conducted public training sessions to educate youth and adults about issues such as underage drinking, environmental policy and sexual health education for at-risk youth.
Ms. Smith has facilitated many group and individual sessions with families and at-risk youth, designed to improve communication, problem-solving skills, teambuilding and group cohesion.
Ms. Smith has a Bachelor's of Science in Education.

Bio
Franki is the newest staff member, to join the Presa team, but she has been working collaboratively with Center staff for several years in service to the South Presa community.
An Army Brat who is happy to call San Antonio home, Franki has over fifteen years experience in community service and organizing.
She has undergraduate degrees in History and American Studies and a Master's in Public Administration.
Franki's is happily married to Eddie, a Realtor, specializing in the San Antonio metro area.

 Irene De La Cruz

Irene was Presa's very first employee, hired in August of 1977 to assist Presa's first Executive Director.
Between the two of them, with a station wagon to make deliveries to home-bound neighbors, the Center provided a great deal of support to families in the Presa Street area.
The Center was later run by volunteers and in 1980, Irene became the Business Manager at St. Paul Lutheran Church, one of Presa Community Center's five founding churches.
She worked for St. Paul for 21 years, then "retired" and "came home" to Presa, now serving as our Controller and institutional memory.
Irene is a graduate of Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, with a Degree in Elementary Education.
She is married to Richard, and mom to Richard, Rudy and Ruby. Three little ones call her Grandma: Sara, Luke and Melanie.

 Isabel Gutierrez

Bio
Isabel is a living testament to the great things that happen to youth who participate in organized programs.
Isabel began attending Presa Community Center as a 13-year old girl, and at the age of 16, began to volunteer regularly.
At 17, while attending Brackenridge High School, Isabel began working with Presa Youth more regularly.
Isabel is pursuing a Degree in Early Childhood Education, with a Certification in Fourth Grade/Elementary Education. Upon completion of her Bachelor's Degree and Certification in May 2007, she plans to pursue a Master's Degree in Adult Higher Education and Reading.
The kids love Isabel and it is clear that Isabel loves what she is doing, too!

Bio
Mary Alice is a native of San Antonio; therefore as Senior Nutrition Program Manager, she has a great understanding of the needs in our community.
She knows our seniors intimately and is a great shoulder to lean on in times of need.
Mary Alice is very compassionate and caring- she loves working with seniors who have attended the Center for so long.
Mary Alice has two daughters and an active 2-year-old grandson, Jayden.

 Yolanda Hernandez

Bio
Yolanda began her service with Presa as a driver in 1996, and loved it.
"Seeing the seniors, I was able to see that they need us.
They depend on you- 'what time will you be here, how long will I have,' they ask, so they can get their groceries for the week, or see the doctor."
Following her stint as a driver, Yolanda began to serve as Facilities Director, and she keeps things looking great!
Yolanda is the proud mother of 10-year-old Jessica.

"It is nice to help families in need. It is a nice feeling."
Ana was hired as Presa's receptionist in 1991. Shortly thereafter, it became clear that Ana would play a more significant role here, as she provided emergency food and clothing to local families in crisis.
Ana is a native of San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Thank you, Ana, for all you do to serve families in crisis.

Cornelio is a former Burbank Bulldog, with experience working with the San Antonio Housing Authority, and the City of San Antonio's Records office, where many of the City's important historical documents are held. Specializing in compassionate customer service, he always has a kind word and a deep sense of pride in serving the community he grew up in.
Cornelio is married to Nina, and is father to Victoria and Janiese.
